Artists Called To Show Work

Artists Called To Show Work

Wade Marynowsky's interdisciplinary works includes sculpture, robotics, sound, light and interactive imagery of local beach and bush environments, from lyrebirds and cicadas in North Nowra, to crabs, cubes and mermen on the beaches of Jervis Bay. On exhibit in Shoalhaven Regional Gallery until Oct 12.

Shoalhaven Regional Gallery is accepting applications from locally-connected artists to be in the Nowra gallery's 2025 exhibition program.

Gallery Director, Dr Zanny Begg, said an Expression of Interest application (EOI) was now open to all artists who have a bond or relationship with the Shoalhaven and want to showcase their ready-to-show body of work to the community.

“We’re seeking proposals from individual artists, curators, collectives, and collaborations who want to make an engaging contribution to next year’s program,” Dr Begg said.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for talented people to gain exposure and share their artistic vision with the patrons of the gallery.

“Exhibitions are already scheduled for 2025 so we’re really keen to see plenty of applications to ensure both new and established artists are given a public platform.”

Dr Begg encouraged First Nations artists to apply, with exhibitions coinciding with Sorry Day and NAIDOC Week in 2025. This exhibition will run alongside a solo exhibition by Wiradjuri artist Karla Dickens.

The successful First Nations artist will receive a package including artist fees, an exhibition in the East Gallery, and support through publicity and audience engagement programs. For more details of the package follow the link to the application.
